The Sunset Years

Reflecting on the ephemeral brilliance of a breathtaking sunset, I am reminded of the transient beauty of life’s moments and am brought back to my mother’s final years. Those years were a kaleidoscope of experiences and emotions from the vibrant warmth of joy to the melancholic depths of introspection. And as I approach those years myself, this sunset, captured during a family reunion at Lake Tahoe, reminds me of the beauty born from the acceptance of life’s impermanence and the realization that every fleeting moment is a precious gift to be cherished.
