Return to the Shore

The journey of a sea turtle returning to shore to lay her eggs is a journey guided by instinct, memory, and an enduring connection to place. Moving between the vastness of the ocean and the quiet shoreline, she carries the promise of new life and the continuation of an ancient cycle.

Materials: Commercial and hand-dyed cotton, fusible web, cotton batting, cotton thread, cotton batik backing
Techniques: Raw edge applique, machine quilted
