Kaleidoscope of Summer

My mandelas are the largest art quilts I have made, approximately 6 feet across. The pieces are primarily turned edge applique with just bit of fused applique when the pieces are very small. These focal point artworks generally hang above beds or on large high ceiling walls.

Kaleidoscope of Summer has over 800 individual pieces in the joyful colors of the ocean and tourists that come to Florida coast every summer.

Materials: Cotton batik, wool/rayon batting, silk thread
