Measure of a Woman

This piece was created as part of a challenge from my art collaborative to create an image 12″ wide and my own height that represented my life. As it turned out I was 67 years old and 67 inches high, so my piece represented my lifeline (in gold) traveling through time (in silver) passing through and along the unique mandalas of the people who are most important to me.

Materials: Cotton sateen, metallic paint, cotton thread, wood/rayon batting, cotton batik backing
Techniques: Hand painted, machine quilted
Size: 67″h x 12″w
