Coastal Crescendo

This small textile mosaic represents the joy I have experienced living at the beach in Florida, where the waves are both a constant and constantly changing. On a day with strong winds, the wonderful crash of waves on the shore can be heard throughout the town.

Materials: Cotton sateen, metallic paint, cotton thread, wood/rayon batting, cotton batik backing
Techniques: Hand painted, machine quilted
